Asad is currently working as a Data Analyst within MARINELINK-Smart team at Austal, Australia. His role is to support Austal’s development and deployment of data analytics tools and machine learning models. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2021 from the Interdisciplinary Machine Learning Research Group (IMLRG) at the University of Newcastle, Australia. He is an accomplished machine learning researcher with a proven ability to use machine learning, data mining and statistical techniques to design, deploy and evaluate highly innovative machine learning models. His research interests include 3D Computer Vision, Affective Computing, Surrogate Modelling, and Shape Optimisation.
