How It Works:

Participants are invited to apply any technique within their arsenal—be it statistical methods, machine learning, deep learning, or deep reinforcement learning—to devise models that can navigate the volatile terrain of Bitcoin prices.

Your Task:

Develop a model that predicts the 4-hourly future price of Bitcoin with the following specifics:

  • Time Horizon: Your model should forecast Bitcoin’s price every 4 hours, providing a granular and frequent analysis of its expected market value.
  • Techniques: There is no restriction on the techniques used. Whether it’s a sophisticated statistical methods, deep learning model, traditional machine learning algorithms, or cutting-edge deep reinforcement learning approaches, all tools are fair game as long as they aim to sharpen the accuracy of predictions.
  • Test Period: The true test of your model will be its performance during the test period, which spans from May 01, 2023, to November 30, 2023. Your model’s predictions will be evaluated against actual market prices during this period.

Submission Requirements:

Your complete entry should include:

  • Training Scripts: The code for your model’s training phase, detailing any pre-processing, feature engineering, or other steps taken.
  • Trained Models: The actual model files that have been trained on historical data and are ready for real-time testing.
  • Test Scripts: Scripts that will apply your trained model to unseen data, forecasting Bitcoin prices for the specified test period.
  • Reports: A detailed report documenting your methodology, experiment results, and a guide for reproducing your results. The report should elucidate your approach, including how your model accounts for the 4-hourly prediction requirement and adapts to the market’s volatility within the test period.

Entries will be evaluated on the precision of predictions, reproducibility of results, and the clarity and comprehensiveness of the accompanying report.
